This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     T42 Wireless connection SUCCESS!

    I can't believe it.
    My T42 arrived in January. I started a previous post in this forum about my wireless connection problems. IBM, after many hours on the phone, eventually sent me a box to return the computer, believing that it must be a hardware issue. I did not send it back, since I just didn't believe the diagnosis. I couldn't make any third-party software, such as that available from netswitcher.com or cirond's winc work either.
    Yesterday, I went back to IBM's Support page, went to the Drivers page, and lo and behold, IBM issued two updated drivers in February, one for the wireless a/b/g mini pc adapter I have and the IBM Access Connections software. According to the Readme files, you have to install both. I did.
    AND NOW I CAN FIND MY HOME NETWORK WIRELESSLY.
    Pardon the shouting. It truly reflects today's surprise and amazement.
