I notice (correct me if I am wrong) that this notebook does NOT have a Firewire port? Should this be a concern? I am looking for a full function notebook, and it seems that this would be something that would be included.

You know....I *used* to think this was a concern....but....after realizing that USB 2.0 was actually faster than firewire...I'm now thinking that this may not be as big of an omission as I used to think.....others??

I agree, not having FireWire just doesn't concern me personally. I don't have any peripherals that use FireWire and nor do I foresee buying any. And as pkocsis mentions, since now USB has caught up with speed and PCI Express is coming around, I say it's just not an issue.

Here's my concern. I need to be able to transfer movies from a digital camcorder to the comp. There should be a usb 2 connection from the camera correct?

How big of a hassle is it to add that type of thing to a laptop? If it is indeed an option?
