    Arrgh toolbars!

I see that crap all around my college. I freaking can't stand toolbars. Granted she only has one, but on a XGA screen as you can see takes up half of her viewing area. Around college I'm not surprised to see people with 3-5 toolbars active on their computer. Yet they blame Vista for being slow...

tool bars, status bars, horizontal Windows taskbar, 16:9 screens.... You really gotta fight, to keep your ever-shrinking vertical screen real estate.

I for one refuse to buy a 16:9 screen. My t400 is better to use then my moms 16in, she has to scroll for just about everything.

yeah pretty much. 16:9 screen is a deal-breaker for me. I stop looking as soon as I see it. 16:10 would be too, if 4:3 was still a relevant option.

Yeha it was a rough transition from 4:3 to 16:10. I already lost a good chunk of top to bottom res and now they wanna take yet another 10% from us? I think not. If they make it 100% that 16:9 will be the only offering Im going out and buying the most powerful 16:10 I can ( no matter how much my wife will hate me and make my life hell) to put it off as long as I can.

    Yeah... copious toolbars FTL. :(

And, definitely not to hijack the thread too much, but this is why I snagged probably the most powerful 4:3 and 16:10 systems I could realistically afford... to stave off the 16:9 switch as long as I can.

Still, a pretty cool picture. I've got some fond memories of my T4x systems... still have one gathering dust in a cabinet. :)

14.1 inch and XGA resolution, which explains a lot.
