I have a t42 with 40gb hd. I would like to upgrade to a 60gb. I have a 60gb Hitachi Travelstar HTS541060G9AT00 that is in a Dell Latitude. Could I change the caddy and install in my T42? Will it plug & play? Would it conflict with my license on T42 base? What potential problems will it cause? Thanks in advance!

Yes, the drive will work. You'll need a way to get Windows on there.
