Since I will be picking up the new T430 on Monday/Tuesday this is just an interest kind of question. Lenovo says the "always-on" port on the back should charge an iPhone when the laptop is off, well it does but the power cord has to be plugged in which sucks. When the laptop is in standby it will charge regardless of the power cord state. This is a little annoying because my old laptop would charge an iPhone even when the laptop was off! I know they probably do this so you don't accidentally kill your battery but I wish they didn't. Is there any work around you guys know of that will allow the T420 to charge a device with the power off and the power cord unplugged?

    P.S. Can't wait for the the T430! :)
