    Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new T420 keyboard. The FRUs are listed in this Keyboard service parts - ThinkPad T420, T420i page.

Why are there three FRUs per language? In the old days, there used to be 3 different keyboards: ALPS, Chicony and NMB... Is this what this is all about? Which FRU corresponds to which manufacterer? Which is better?

I'm fairly certain that's exactly the case.

For the life of me I can't figure out why they removed the names of the associated manufacturers, but if past is to be used as guidance it's ALPS - Chicony - NMB when looking at the columns from left to right...

    Good luck.
