I bought the T420 recently after doing extensive research. I found a model that had a great screen resolution, stock HD storage, and an i5 processor - but it states that it goes up to 2.3GHZ, while lenovo.com offers it up to 2.5GHZ. Am I sacrificing a lot by cutting down to 2.3GHZ?

As far as I know, both are dual core, however it is still of concern to me.

ALSO! If you guys have any first hand stories about the durability of your thinkpads, please let me know! I love reading them, and always amazed by the durability of these products.

    Thanks!

No, in fact, you made a smart decision to go with the slower i5--the very minimal CPU speed difference is unnoticeable outside of benchmarks, and is generally a waste of money.
