Has anyone come across any sleeves that would go well with this notebook?

    Hey Zeth,

I have come across the Incase 15' sleeve for my T420. My auntie had it lying around and I wanted to see if it would fit and it does! There is a stitching of some sort that prevents the zippers from scratching the machine. It doesn't feel like a cheap product. It is about $40 dollars as I've looked on Amazon.

    Edit:

I'll post some pictures of it holding my T420 when I get home later from school.

Also wondering the same. I got the lenovo 14 sleeve but it is way too big. I want something that fits more snug. I measured the laptop and its 13.5 x 10 x 1.75".

I was looking at Tucano 14.1" second skin but it doesn't give dimensions.

    Dboss - hows the fit?

I apologize for the late pictures with the Incase 15' screen.

Any suggestions for a case that would have enough room for a T420 and an iPad, but not terribly bulky? I have an older (~9 years) InCase 15" leather bag that was originally for a 15" PowerBook which almost works, but it's a bit of a tight squeeze. I don't want to go for a huge laptop bag with tons of room either. Finding something in between seems to be difficult.

I can just say that Lenovo's own 14W sleeve is, unfortunately, a poor choice, as it hasn't been redesigned for the current generation, therefore being sized to fit a 16:10-sized machine with the old, much bulkier 9-cell battery. Even with its 9-cell, my T420 comes 2-3cm short of filling the sleeve, depth-wise.

    1) Can you post the Amazon link to the InCase sleeve? I am wondering if it is this one: Amazon.com: Case Logic LAPS-114 14-Inch Laptop Sleeve (Black): Electronics. Plus this has only a 3 star review, which makes me wary.

    2) Does the Incase or Watcha sleeve fit the T420 with the extended 9-cell battery and Speck-like hard cover casing snugly?

    3) Can you also please comment on the padding thickness for both the Watcha and Incase sleeves? I will be traveling a lot and would like to protect my T420 for the next 5-6 years from zipper scratches, bumps, and drops.

    4) Lastly, on a side note, do you have any recommendations for a Keyboard Skin or Speck-like hard cover casing for the T420? I asked this question in this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/len...ard-skin-hard-cover-case-recommendations.html

Thanks TobaccoMan. It looks like it's a great fit for a T420, but with a 6-cell battery. I'm worried now that the Wacta will not fit a T420 with a 9-cell battery. Do you think it will fit a 9-cell battery instead of a 6-cell?

    Here's a quick look of a T420 with a 9-cell battery. It sticks out several inches. http://goo.gl/ijdIX

I'm planning on getting a messenger bag / case from SF Bags, which custom make cases for customers. It's pricy, but every mention of them I've found thus far says you get what you pay for.

My old Macbook bag is all lumpy and torn, and if I were to drop it now I don't think it would survive. Of course, Lenovo are durable as hell, but it's always better when you don't have to worry.

If you've got the cash for it, it seems like SFBags are a good go-to.
