With "trackpoint enabled, touchpad disabled", everything works correctly.

With "trackpoint enabled, touchpad enabled", my right click buttons do not work.

With "trackpoint disabled, touchpad enabled", my right click buttons still do not work.

I've tried reinstalling the TrackPoint driver, but it has led to the problems above. Before the reinstall, with "trackpoint disabled, touchpad enabled", my left click buttons would result in a properties menu (as if I had right-clicked).

Any ideas what I can do to restore the functionality of both?

I haven't encountered any issues like this with my t240 for whatever that is worth, but....

To start with can you load the Ultranav pages in the mouse control panel and have a look at the Touchpad settings, and then select "buttons" in the treeview, and see what the buttons think they are setup to do by default (Left Button Action and Right Button Action)? I know it's obvious and may well not be the cause but worth a quick look as a starter I think...

I'd try a Linux disc. That should tell you whether it's a hardware or software issue.

To me, this sounds like your right touchpad button is broken and sending garbage signals when it's active.

    Zaz,

I am able to get all the information I need without having to resort to linux disks.

My right clickers do not function at all when both TrackPoint and Touchpad are active. Would this be an indicator of a software issue?

Edit: Whereas both left and right clickers work perfectly when TrackPoint Only enabled.

Sounds driver related to me. I would uninstall your ultranav software, then uninstall the devices from device manager, then reboot. See if windows can pick it up in vanilla form with the standard ms driver - that should tell you if it can work in its "most basic form" so to speak.

If you boot it to a Linux disc and it works, then it's probably a software issue. If it doesn't work, it's probably the hardware.
