I prefer to screen resolution 1366x768 than 1600x900. However, it's annoying that every time when plugging AC power, Lenovo will automatically adjust the brightness (this is fine) and resolution back to 1600x900.

I've done a couple testing to figure out which setting causes this, but none of them is related to this auto adjustment.

    1. Use different power plan (max performance, energy saver, max battery life).
    2. Go to msconfig and disable "ThinkPad Power Manager" (however, even disabled this one, the battery gauge is still there, with no battery percentage info.) Also, I would prefer not to disable this feature from Lenovo as I use it quite often.

Anyone knows how to fix this issue? Thanks

You should use your laptop's LCD at its native resolution, i.e. at 1600 X 900. Adjust the font sizes etc. if you like.

@Iucounu, my current setting is 1366x768 with font size 125%. I've been trying 1600x900 150% but it just look akward. I know with 1366x768 it may lose the best display quality. Do you have any suggestion for the setting to get a font size like 1366x768 + 125%?

Try 1600x900 with 146.41288433382137628111273792094% DPI. Mathematically, that should give the same thing as 1366x768 with 125 DPI. Though, may I ask why you are using 125% DPI with such a low resolution?

@kirayamato26, it just simply has a comfort size of font/UI controls etc. My eyes easily get tired if reading small font text for long time.

As for 1600x900 - 146% DPI, it actually looks worse since a lot text in Google Chrome becomes more blur. The desktop shortcuts become clearer tho. Choosing a right resolution/DPI ratio has been a trouble for me for a while. Really want to figure out a good solution!
