I think Lenovo could've added the option for a Radeon HD 6470m.

T420 is made to do work. If you want a gaming laptop, go purchase one with a decent GPU. 6470M won't do serious gaming. For the price is a well equipped T420, you can get an ASUS G series gaming laptop with a real gaming GPU.

Isn't that the same GPU found in the current generation of Macbook pros?

you're saying the NVS 4200M doesn't do a good job for everyday graphics? Specs look reasonable to me, certainly an improvement over the previous NVS 3100M.

I admit I'd prefer an AMD GPU due to personal preference, but for what a T420 is designed for this should be fine. If you want more, the W520 is the system you're looking for.

I disagree. Dell/Alienware and Clevo have that market covered.

The NVS 4200M is near the HD 6470M, so if you can manage a hefty overclock, you might be able to beat it.

The 1000m on the W520 are ok for gaming, I just can't justified that it's few hundred dollar more than the standard T520 with integrate graphic.

In the w520 owner's thread, I posted a link that claims the NVQ2000M can run Crysis 2 on high settings.
