I have a strange problem with my T420. Sometimes it will lost AC power and switch to battery, and 10-30 seconds it will back to AC again. Doesn't happen alot, maybe 2-3 times per week. And when this happens I don't need to do anything it will switch to AC automatically.

Anyone have similar issue? Could this be a faulty AC adapter or sth else? its a stock 65W one and I had this problem since I got the laptop.

The same thing occasionally happens to my x220t... probably for as long as I've had it. I can basically guarantee it's not an AC adapter or battery issue, as I've seen it happen with multiple AC adapters and at least two batteries. I've just assumed it was some random software glitch with Power Manager or whatnot since there haven't been any deleterious effects.

I had the same problem with my t420s...
this (I think) make my battery go down with capacity since my pc can only stay 20min with battery...
at the beginning it was a rare event... after a while it was an bib bib bib bib like i was putting in and out the plug very fast...

So I tried to open my laptop and find out that the ac plug was a bit boken...on the side...
I solved soldering the broken part on both side... now no more problem :D
