    has anyone use this slice battery option on their T420 before? how long would it extended the battery life plus a 6 cells battery?

    The slice has a rated capacity of 94Whr compared with the 6 cell battery's 57Whr. That's a big increase in capacity that will increase the run time by at least 150%. For example, if you get 4 hours with the 6 cell battery then you can expect 10 hours with the 6 cell + slice.

    Yep, in fact, the slice battery has the same capacity as the regular 9-cell battery. With a 9-cell battery installed, the lifetime would be doubled. With a 6-cell installed, the lifetime would be more than doubled--close to 150%, as John mentioned.

    I was thinking of getting the T420 slice battery as well. I was wondering if a picture of the slice battery installed on the T420 exists?

    Wow that is thick. I like the idea of having alot of battery power, but having the thickness increased is alot. I think the 9 cell standard battery will do for me.
