I just tried to replace my stock HDD w/ an OCZ Agility 3 SSD & my SSD is clearly taller than the HDD. So much bigger in fact that I cannot put the metal drive guard on & the rubber rails. Is there anything I can do? I cannot imagine not being able to use a standard SSD in this laptop. I thought is was the T420s that was smaller & had a harder time getting the right size hard drive. Any help is appreciated.

What's the Part Number of the hard drive you received? Depending on the hard drive Lenovo fitted in your laptop, you may end up with a 7mm rubber rails rather than the standard 9.5mm ones.

Sadly you might have gotten a 7mm harddrive in your configuration like I did. I ended up just ebaying the standard 9.5mm because Lenovo support wanted me to send in the 7mm rubber rail before they shipped out the 9.5mm rubber rail. It was easier to just spend 5 dollars and get one off ebay.
