    Guys, I just got my new monitor at the office (Samsung S24C750P), set it up properly (1920x1080 @ 60Hz), installed driver, etc. but the text seems unsharp, like if each symbol has a bright shadow!! Played with all possible settings but it just looks odd when you look closely. would certainly tire the eyes after couple of hours.

    I am wondering what the reason could be!? It is connected via the analogue port, but I never had any problems with other monitors when using the analogue, incl. another Samsung of the same size in another office!
    Do you think a Displayport to HDMI adapter could be the solution or something else!?

    try adjusting for ClearType image and see whether that helps. Otherwise, get a DP to HDMI converter (couple of dollars).

    A bright shadow sounds like the contrast is set way too high. Try turning the contrast all the way down and see if that helps. If not, try turning off all picture helps like edge enhancement and such.
