Hello,
I just assembled a T420i on the Lenovo site and was curious as to whether or not this setup would be able so push 1080p MKVs and HD Netflix to my TV via DisplayPort-HDMI cable without issue. I think the processor an onboard GPU should be enough but want to make sure. Also make any recommendations you think might be better for me. Thanks!!!![]()
The reason I chose the i model is it will be used primarily for the psuedo-HTPC purpose. I will also take it with me to coffee shops and the like but I just live in Chrome and surf the web. i3-2310M should be more than enough, eh?

I am also open to the IPS x220 but for some reason the issues people seem to be having on here scare me away a little. I am sure the T420 has issues too though.

Yup. I think, it's more than enough for what you want to do with it. I have T420 with i5 2410. Except the screen ratio, I'm pretty satisfied with my purchase.
