My poor T400s was stolen, so I bought a 420s from the Lenovo Outlet (new computer).

What's up with the keyboard?? Is it just me? It feels sticky or something, or wider. I'm having a hell of a time typing on it.

If the notebook is still under warranty, you can always request Lenovo Technical Support Center (Atlanta, GA) to send you a new keyboard. Have the model number and serial number handy.

    They'll just send one over?

There's something different, I'm not sure what it is. Either the keyboard is physically wider, or there's a lag from the keyboard to the computer. Or the keys are too sticky. I can't put my finger on it. I'm a great typer, and with this keyboard I'm making mistakes almost every other word. It's becoming impossible to work on this machine.

Lenovo Tehnical Support in Atlanta, can I help you? My ThinkPad keyboard doesn't work. Please describe your technical problem. ... .. OK, let me have your model number and serial number, please. ... ... What is your address? We'll have a new keyboard sent to you. You'll receive it in 2-3 business days. ... ... (Usually next business day. Make sure you're home to sign for it.)

Are you talking about a legitimate problem with the keyboard, like key jamming, or key not registering, or key falling off? Or are you feeling uneasy switching from your familiar T400 keyboard to this one?

I don't understand what you meant by "the keyboard being physically wider."
