    (New) Disabled keyboarding while the lid was closed to avoid unexpected key input when the computer was held with the lid closed.
    (Fix) Fixed an issue where the computer might not be booted from bootloader program.
    (Fix) Fixed an issue where a 1820 error might occur at power-on when the external fingerprint reader device was attached to the computer while the integrated fingerprint reader was disabled in the ThinkPad Setup.
    (Fix) Fixed an issue where the computer might fail to boot when connected the Smartphone with the USB port.
    (Fix) Improved cooling fan noise.

    I'm curious if they fixed the TOLUD yet. Can you run this command in Powershell on your computer?

    Then reply to this thread with the output under PCI bus? Should be the last section.

    The modified fan rules looks interesting although there's no potential to limit the maximum fan speed which is needed to shift the heat from a fully loaded CPU (I have seen slightly throttling when a CPU core reaches 95C).

    I'll refrain from applying the BIOS update until I'm next home in case something goes wrong.

    I'll take this opportunity to add that an updated Intel graphics driver has also been posted on the T420s downloads.
