I have a T420s with a intel 80gb msata on it. Hoping to upgrade to one of the following:
- crucial m4 msata (256gb) CT256M4SSD3 - 256GB, mSATA Solid State Drive , from Crucial.com
- mushkin 480gb msata Newegg.com - Mushkin Enhanced Atlas Series MKNSSDAT480GB mSATA 480GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
- crucial m50 480gb msata http://www.crucial.com/pdf/productFlyer/ProductFlyer-letter_Crucial_M500_SSD.pdf
Are these compatible with my T420s?
Also, from what I understand the T420s msata slot is only SATA 2, which will result in slower speeds. Hwo does that translate into real life usage? will the new drives be faster than my old intel 310?
Thanks a lot!

There's little practical difference between SATA II and III for most uses. I doubt the new drives will seem any faster than your Intel drive, but will have a lot more space. Any of those drives should work.

Any idea on when the new crucial msatas will come out? Will they likely be priced above or below the Mushkins ($450)? -
Not a clue.
