So I'm not sure if it's even okay to post threads about old computers like the T43, but recently it's been giving me a lot of trouble. When I enter sleep mode, the laptop fails to turn back on again afterwards, and recently the monitor display seems to have died out. When I turn the computer on, I see the normal IBM logo, and then the entire screen dims to a point where I can no longer distinguish between it and a black screen. This is not the first time I've had this issue with thinkpads. Is this a common issue?

    Thanks,

Thank you for the information. I'm looking at the screen and I'm just waiting for another person to double check before ordering the part and then repairing it.
