I just can't remember my Resource Recovery Password and now I want to restore my system to factory defaults.
Is there any way around?

Yes, install Windows XP from scratch via CD ROM. Clearly, you wont get factory defaults, but at least you will get your system back and be able to install drivers.
---- Alternately, you can call and order system restore CDs to get factory defaults.
-- Also, when you got the machine, wasn't there an option/software installed to let you burn recovery CDs? I think thats what's up right now, which is why most companys are not shipping restore CDs anymore. Most manufacturers are doing the "burn your own restore CD sh*thead, we don't want to spend 25 cents to do it for you," LOL -

Thanks for the reply, but i fixed the issue and forgot about this thread.
1. Burning Recovery CDs are of no use because it still asks for a password. If you have set a password for the IBM Predesktop (Recovery Console), no matter what, it will ask you to verify the password.
2. Solution was given by techsupport: Uninstall Recovery console from add-Remove and reinstall it back after downloading it from the net. worked great.
3. You can also set Reset Password settings in the Security window in windows to avoid such future incidents.
