Greetings.
After getting sold on a particular T42 model..the T43 came onto the scene...and from what I've read in posts here & at www.thinkpads.com
there is some question as to whether the improvements amount to anything substantial.
I'd love to get some more imput from you all on this question..I really want to buy one or the other.
Thanks.

It depends on your usage, but unless you want the high end graphics cards, the chipset probably isn't going to do anything for you. It may even worsen battery life a little bit.

although I'll counter that having the Express Card slot + PCMCIA slot as dual accessory ports is nice. Also, according to Intel, 93% better graphics performance with the new processor + 5% better on everything else is nothing to sniff at. Add to that better wireless management and PCI Express support and I think if the cost is somewhat close it is a worthy upgrade.

Not according to Tom's Hardware Guide <http://www.tomshardware.com/mobile/20050119/index.html>.
IBM T42 2378-FZU
Intel Pentium M 755 2.0 GHz
2048 MB Corsair System Select
High Capacity Li-Ion Battery
Hitachi Travelstar 7K60
Audigy 2 ZS Notebook
T43 enough of an improvement?
