    hi,
as a total newbie to laptops, i have to ask a simple question. I like normal resolution (1024/768) because i mostly work with text documents and find this resolution easier to read. But i was wondering if it is possible to lower the SVGA resolution to 1024/768, so that text is not small?

    Thanks alot

    You mean, SXGA+ ?

Yes, it is. But it probably makes more sense to enlarge the document you are viewing. Word, the Adobe PDF viewer, and most other document readers allow you to do this.

Running LCDs at non-native resolutions will cause them to be blurry. As another option you could increase the DPI which will make text bigger.
