    T43 shipping date

    I just placed an order for the following system.
    T43 2687DRU
    1.86GHz, 14inch 1400x1080 sxga+, 512 mb ram, 60G HD, finger print reader.
    all this for mere $1371 through EPP. Web price is $1828 so I think I got a heck of a deal.

    But when I read the confirmation email IBM sent, contrary to what it said in the description when I bought it, "ship within 2 weeks", it says the shipping date is 9/18/05 which is more than 3 months away from now.
    Is this kinda normal for IBM to indicate such a late shipping date for their products??

    You should see it in 2 weeks. Don't pay attention to the estimated dates, they will drive you mad.
