So my T43 recently gave out, with the following issues.

When I start up my computer, the starting screen loads, and then the computer makes beeping noises and displays a single message (Fan Error). Then the computer shuts off. I noticed that the fan had been making weird noises for a while before this problem, and also that the fan seemed to have stopped working. Does this mean that I need to replace my fan? And if yes, where can I find a replacement fan? The computer stores near where I live (PC Club, CompUSA) have told me that they don't have the part anymore.

This issue aside, I also had a problem with my CD-DVD burner. It had worked fine for a long time, but after a while, it stopped being able to read burned discs (stuff that my friends made for me), and it also stopped being able to burn discs. I can still watch commercial DVDs, and install software, but it just doesn't recognize home-made stuff. What could be the issue here? Is it a driver thing, or a disc drive thing?

    Thanks,
