I try to install a wifi in the 2nd pcie slot (bottom next to the memory), but windows 7 don't detect it. Device Manager don't show any new hardware found, I have try 3 different wifi with the same result. Anyone know what is going on here? Is this slot reserve for specific devices only?

That's for WWAN cards or mSATA SSDs.

The technical reason is that the PCIE pins aren't soldered on the second slot. Since Lenovo only uses WWAN cards and MSATA SSD's in that slot, only the USB (wwan) and SATA pins are soldered.

Theoretically it might be possible, but practically, I'd say flat out no.
