Just got a new T430 with win 8 and it's great.

My laptop use to go to sleep after 15 minutes which was great. Then I changed it to 30 min but all it does is just turn the display off and doesn't actually go to sleep...

I assume when the power point blinks every 3 seconds means it's asleep but it only does that now if it's plugged in ( I didn't change those power settings).

however I cant seem to be able to get it to sleep when it's on the battery.

any suggestions? or ideas what's going on. is some other setting overriding it?

powercfg has a reporting capability that will report what programs are preventing it.
