Any clue when the haswell T440's will come out? All I see are the L440 models.

I google release date, find tons of articles and all either don't actually have a date, or say a date in the past.

I'm desperately in need of a new laptop, and decent haswell models seem few and far between, or endlessly late. I need to have 16GB ram, and almost nothing supports more than 8gb. I'd get a t430 now, but I really don't want the crappy screen.

'End of October.' Supposedly the 29th.

Thanks. I've been amazed at how slowly haswell laptops have rolled out.

My guess: Probably because there are still many Ivy-Bridge Notebooks in stock, so they have to sell these first.

Could be that, but I wonder if there's also some supply-chain holdup because quite a few manufacturers are quoting "Late October" for release of Haswell models

I couldn't wait any longer either (I actually couldn't, because I needed to place my order, since my company has "interesting" policy concerning purchases), so I just started emailing retailers about availabilty and pricing, I got an offer and ordered it before it even appeared in their webpage. Fresh from the oven I guess =P
