Hi all - just wondering if anyone has seen or dealt with this

First, a couple of mornings ago I found my t440s OFF. It had turned off
in the middle of the night for no apparent reason (nothing in logs).

It started up no problem, but now I notice this

If on battery AND the removable battery is in the machine will NOT start. It dies
just after the bios page comes up.

It starts and seems to run fine on AC power or if I remove the battery and use
    the internal battery.

The removable battery reports it's fine and charged ...

The battery is more than 2 years old; perhaps it's just gone bad in some weird
way. (BTW, the machine is long out of warranty).

Just the excuse I need for a new X1 carbon :)

But seriously, can I just buy a new removable battery do you think?
