    Hi all,
    today I got my noisy fan replaced from a Lenovo engineer (T440p with discrete graphcs).

    While the new fan is way more silent, I have observed a change in the minimum speed level.

    Old fan (probably 04X1854) --> 2700rpm
    New fan (probably 00HM903) --> 3070rpm

    I use the latest BIOS (v2.26).

    Do you have any idea why the minimum fan speed level has changed?
    I thought that fan-levels (or maybe fan voltages) were hardcoded in the embedded controller of the BIOS.

    Would it be possible that the new fan works at higher RPM when applying the minimum voltage?

    What is your laptop's minimum fan speed level (T440p, T440, T440s) ?
