I'm getting a T440p with the standard 500gb 7200RPM hard drive, but my plan is to swap it out immediately with a Samsung 840 Pro 512GB solid state drive. I therefore ordered the laptop without an M.2. solid state double. Knowing very little about the M.2 slot, what else can I possibly use this slot for?

WWAN, Cache, or SSD. That is it really.

Thanks. I don't think I'll benefit from cache since I'm getting a very fast SSD. Looks like I'll just have to leave it empty.
