T440s non-touch screen replacement with touch screen

Hi,

I wonder if its possible to change T440s non-touch 1600x900 (Au optronics TN panel) with FHD 1920x1080 touch screen IPS panel?

I am thinking about buying this touch screen for my T440s

But before that I wanted to make sure that its possible because original T440s is without touch screen.

 

Photos of my screen which I removed to see exact model. In case touch version will not work, which IPS 1920x1080 panel will you guys recommend to buy? LG which is glossy or Au which is mate.

 

You can´t put in a touchscreen-panel. For that, you would need a different display-cover FRU and different hinges.

If you want to put in a non-touch FHD display, I would recommend the AUO B140HAN1.0/1.1/1.2/1.3.

 

what I will need to put touch screen and how much it will cost? which display cover FRU?

and what is difference between AUO 1,2,3?

These are just different versions of them same panel.

For a touch panel mod, you would need the following FRUs: 04X5464 (LCD Bezel), 04X5457 (LCD Rear Cover), 00HM076 (Touch LCD), 04X5462 or 04X5463 (hinges), 04X5459 (Camera Cable for Touch), 00HM044 (LCD Cable). If you have all of these parts, you could mod the T440. I would definitely NOT recommend it, unless you stumble across a whole touch-screen assembly with all the parts included. And that can be still very expensive.
