Spilled some water on my beloved T450s and the trackpad works fine except for the left click. I can still click by pressing on the large central button and right click and third button works fine.

Took me forever to replace the trackpad but I retained the old flat cable. Despite this the new trackpad left click still does not work. Will a new flat cable solve the problem or is it more complicated than that? I don't want to spend money on another thing and take it all apart again for it not to work :(
