Hello,
I found my T450s suddelnly becoming very slow, especially booting and loading programs/browsers took frustratingly long (even though i have an SSD and the i7-5600U processor).
I found that Windows had somehow dropped and stopped recognizing the other core of the processor completely, using only one core! No wonder that everything seemed sluggish.
So, if you find your computer exceedingly slow with windows 10, I would recommend to check that your processor is recognized properly as a dual core processor and that both cores are actually in use from the "processor" row that the windows administrative tools' -> system information shows. Mine was recognized otherwise properly, but with only a single core in use.
As a solution to this problem, I had to run msconfig (WIN key + R), then from the startup-tab -> extra settings, uncheck the "number of processors" box.
After rebooting, Windows recognized the dual-core processor again correctly - no problems after this and all slowness disappeared.
Hopefully this helps those suffering from similar, unexpected sluggishness. The problem may affect other laptops/processors in addition to the combination I have.
Jukka
