    Hi,
I am just having a major dilemma over Thinkpad13 vs T460.
My previous machine was a X220 and I am not sure which machine I should go for.
A bit of details about my work/background.
I spend more time on the road/cafes and less time in an office environment. My primary job is doing admin tasks, a bit of scripting/coding and emailing.

I am not sure which machine I should go for. I have a T460 which I brought considering that I have been a long time Thinkpad and should stick to the main Thinkpad line. But at the same time I am starting to wonder if this was the correct decision given that Lenovo has changed the Thinkpad line so much.
Maybe I should have gone for something much cheaper like a Thinkpad13 which has a better keyboard and forget all the extras.

    ThinkPad 13, Intel i5-6200U CPU, 8GB DDR4-2133, 256GB SSD, 13” FHD (1920x1080) IPS, 3Y Warranty
    PRICE: US$1,100

    T460 = i5-6200u, 8GB RAM, 500gb HDD, 1920x1080, Win7, 3Y Warranty
    PRICE: US$1,085.00 (approx)

    What do you guys recommend?

Why are you paying more for the 13? You can get them in the Outlet fairly cheap on a regular basis. You you want a more tradition ThinkPad with better portability, the T450s or T460s would be worth a look.

I've heard good things about the 13, but the no backlit keyboard would be a deal breaker for me.

I don't need a backlit keyboard and I really don't like the feel of the ABS plastic cap feel that backlit keyboards give.
Thinkpad 13 doesn't seem to have that problem because it doesn't come with backlit keyboard so it makes it an interesting choice for me.

I'd go for the T13, especially if you do not care about backlit keyboards and you feel the price is fine.

ZaZ is right tho, you should be able to find it cheaper.

Anything wrong with the X220 that makes you want to get rid of it?

    Out of those two.

Not buying a laptop with a SSD these days is absurd. ThinkPad 13 hands down winner.
