    Hi guys,

Quick query to T470 owners, to see what the speakers should sound like.

I fresh installed Win 10. The speaker distorts/reverberate notably at higher volume (as if it's boosted to higher than sound level). I've uninstalled prep-loaded audio driver & reinstalled T470 audio driver from Lenovo's site. Same issue.

Then I've followed this "disable all sound enhancement" fix to get the volume fine tuned (though left Dolby on):
    https://www.jdhodges.com/blog/fix-audio-on-lenovo-thinkpad/
After the "fix", it now seems normal, and music are slightly quieter / still sort of decent for a ThinkPad, though much less audio distortion/crack audible - even on bass heavier audio.

If you have a T470 - could I ask if your "disable all sound enhancement" is ticked or not? Basically trying to work out if this is this normal fix (as in the "enhancement" caused issues) - or that I need to get Lenovo to take a look at the speakers.

I also had to disable sound effects on my T470 a few months ago because it was distorted. The worst was the the boot-up sound, and it still is a bit distorted sometimes, but the fix definitely helped.

@Quicklite did you try removing Lenovo sound drivers altogether and sticking with Windows default High Definition Audio Device driver instead?
