If you don't have anything in the ultrabay, will it just be an empty hole there or is there a door that closes behind it to hide the hole?

How long do ultrabay batteries last alone in the laptop? On the IBM site it just says 8.5 hours combined with the main battery. Assuming the main battery lasts 5.5 hours, the ultrabay one will last 3 hours? This seems impossible to me.

How is the quality of aftermarket batteries for the T4x's? Do they stop holding a charge really fast or can I expect the same performance as an OEM?

Also, I noticed that with the different aftermarket ultrabay 2.5" hard drive trays, they have different shapes. Some of which loook like they wwould protrude out of the laptop when you have it in. Should I avoid the aftermarket accessories?

I notice that under the laptop, the thing for plugging in your laptop to the docking station is totally exposed. does this increase the risk of shorting out the computer like say if I spilled water on my desk and it went under the computer.
