    Hi all,

    Sorry for the newbie question(s).

I am ordering a new T500 and getting a new cell phone. I would like to use the phone for *occasional* wireless internet, it that's possible. I currently just have a "normal" cell phone. Just seems like if I get a "smart phone", or iPhone, that I should be able to use the data plan that I already have to pay for to hook my laptop to internet. Is this possible?

I should be able to port my phone number to any provider.

what new phone should I get? and what feature(s) should I make sure I order the T500 with?

    Thanks!

It's not possible to tether you iPhone, unless you jailbreak. And epending where you live, your plan might not allow it.

Besides that, though, you want to have Bluetooth. That's how I tether my Samsung i780 (although I think it can be tethered through WiFi and/or the USB cable as well).
