Hi..I keep hearing a strange beep anytime I turn on/off my computer, or wake it up from sleep/hibernate, or whenever I connect/disconnect it to the charger...Is there a way to make it stop?

It's a BIOS setting. Turn it off there.

I forget the exact name but its something like "Beep on Power State Change." You can disable it in the BIOS.

I tried going to the BIOS but it asks for a password...I never set a password for it though...so I don't know what it is.

You dont have to go to the BIOS. You may change it somewhere inside Power Manager.

You may disable it by pressing mute button on your keyboard.

Funny thing that it isnt volume setting sensitive. It beeps hell loud when I have half of a volume.

Thats annoying really. My X61s isnt so noisey as X200T with this.

    Cheers

You can't change the beep volume in the BIOS? I could do that on my old Dell.

I dont think I can. Im not able to try it now.

But I did test with my X61s and I can say for sure that it isnt volume sensitive. The beep is very gently, its okay :D

But when I hear my X200Tablet beep my ears are bleeding :p I can hear it very well in the other side of the house ! Lol

    Cheers

You may have it at full volume or none.

To be honest Im not satisfied.

I checked at bios settings and Im very sure that there is no option to set volume for this.
