This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     T500 Windows 8 power up problem

    I have a problem with Windows 8 on my T500 where when I turn it on or restart it won't get to the login screen unless I put it to sleep and back.

    Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

    I haven't been able to get switchable gfx to work either not that I've needed it but that would be nice too.
