Unfortunately nothing on the sticky really helped so I'm posting this.

I guess I should have researched a bit more about x64 OS and their drivers before I started this, but I recently got my T500 with 4gb ram. Of course, being that the XP recovery disks that they supplied were 32bit, I had to install a fresh copy of Windows XP x64.

However, once I installed the OS, I found out that (obviously) nothing really worked. I couldn't set up a network connection and thus assumed that it was because I had no drivers. So of course I went to the Lenovo website on my desktop and proceeded to search for their drivers. However, I wasn't able to find any XP x64 drivers so now I'm not sure how to proceed.

Do I try to install Vista drivers? As it says x64. Do I install the regular XP drivers? which I assume is 32bit. Or is there something else I can do get everything to work?

    Thanks in advance.

Try out the Vista x64 drivers. If they don't work then you're probably out of luck since I doubt Lenovo supports XP x64 on any of their newer models.

Just tried out some drivers... unfortunately, only the Active Protection driver for Vista worked. The rest gave me the "Requires Vista to run" error and refused to install. The XP drivers installed, but doesn't seem to do anything. At least, after installing the LAN driver, nothing happened, nor can I access wireless.

XP x64 is pretty much a driver model unto itself. Neither Vista drivers or XP32 drivers will work. Windows Server 2003 x64 drivers should work on XP x64, but I don't know if Lenovo ever released drivers that platform.

You could try looking for generic drivers from the individual hardware OEMs who produced each component.

Thanks! I didn't think about finding drivers from the individual vendors. I managed to get wifi working now and hopefully the rest will come with time.
