The T500 comes with the Radeon Mobility 3650, which happens to be the same graphics core as the V5700 found in the W500. The only difference is of course the 512MB and the FireGL drivers verses the Radeon drivers. However there exist soft mods to trick the FireGL drivers into installing on a Radeon card.

So it seems you are paying a huge premium for the W500 over the T500, considering the T500 also includes hybrid graphics for better battery life...

    However, Wikipedia says that:

It is unclear if soft modding the Radeon into the FireGL opens up the stream processing.

I've read the main difference is that the W500 gets the GDR3 while the T500 gets the GDR2.

    So like $400 for GDDR3 512MB memory over GDRR2MB + 4500HD hybrid? Doesn't sound like a deal to me.
