I have a strange and slightly annoying problem on my T500. Windows 7 Ultimate and the other day I went to look at my battery condition and I noticed all of the details are missing. So I updated to the latest version of Power Manager (now 3.25) using System Update but no change.

Rebooted. Power cycled. Reseated the battery. No change....

Computer runs fine on battery ... gauge seems to be accurate. I even did a gauge reset last night.

Anyone seen a problem like this? I will dig up another battery at work and give it a try and see if it's my battery or the hardware or OS.

(See attached screenshots to see what it looks like.)

Well I'll be .... just to see if Power Manager could read any battery, I inserted my UltraBay battery .... Suddenly it was reading all of the info for both batteries.

How annoying... but I guess it's good to know it does work.

    What a strange glitch.

    (See screenshots.)

It's pretty cool my main battery still has the majority of it's capacity after 1.5 years of owning this laptop. Not many charge cycles but it's plugged in 24/7 and is my main computer.

(I keep the charge settings set to 70% start, 90% end.)
