    wouldn't you need a multi-touch trackpad? I think only the t400s and x200 tablet have multitouch right now.
    i think most people in this forum probably prefer the trackpoint anyway.

    Why would you need it?

    The t500 already comes with a few features relating to scrolling and other gestures I believe although I don't use it as any sane person would use the trackpoint.
