I will be ordering a T500 this week and question the value of spending almost $400 for discrete graphics. I will be doing web site design, text based documents, a little photo editing, very little video editing. Games limited to "old guy" stuff (A little flight simulator and golf). The screen will be WXGA LED if it is available otherwise WSXGA+. If the discrete is worth it then the W500 seem to be the way to go now based on price and features.

you will be able to play some of the older flight simulators and golf just fine on the intel x4500

Thanks. For $100 difference like it was on the Canadian site last week, it seemed worth it to "future proof". But unless the price drops this week, I'm staying with the integrated graphics.

I think the t400 with the discrete is the best deal, I ordered one for my self 2 days ago :)

you should check it out, the main advantage is the LED screen

I agree it (T400 with discrete) is the "sweet spot" for the T series but I'm moving from a 17" 9.4lb HP. The 14.1 seem to be to much of a drop in size. I already have made two BestBuy trips. Maybe I should make a third trip.
