I really love the design of the t400s, but the tech specs of t500 suite my needs more. Is there anything on the horizon for the next few months for this? Maybe a t500s or something?

If not, are there any other lenovo machines that will inherent the t400s usability redesign?

Sometime this fall, possibly october (according to a chart that predicted the t400s release date i saw on engadget) is when the the core 2's might get replaced by intels new platform. It might take longer, but its surely coming, wait if you can.

No plans on anything resembling a T500s or any other machine similar to the T400s in the next year. What tech specs do you want of the T500 that you can't get in the T400/s? Even if there were a T500s, you'd lose the GPU, which is the main difference other than screen size.

Just to make clear, the refresh date of most Thinkpads is January of 2010. The W710 will come later.

Not that early, most likely some time early in 2010. Some of the T400s' design improvements may transition over to the T500, but don't expect, for example, a great decrease in thickness.

    I don't care about thickness

I just like the keyboard design
