T510 shipping within 14days, trustful?

My friend want me to configure a good laptop for him and he wants to put order in tomorrow and get it within 2 weeks.

The canadian epp website says ship within 14 days, is that trustful? Myself got my T400 last November and the shipping was pretty fast, actually I got it within 13 days.

Since I read a lot of complains regarding the shipping time recently, I just don't want to put myself into a bad situation. So if you have a good or bad experience, especially if you are in Canada, I would like to hear about that. Many thanks in advance.

 

Because the T510 only came out recently, I would not count on getting it within two weeks. Typically, it even takes about a week, including weekends, to get the laptop shipped from China to the Americas, and considering that only leaves a week for building the laptop, it's cutting it close. Lenovo probably has a ton of orders to fill right now.

Man, you should tell him to stop being so impatient. Why does he care only about the shipping time?

 

he wants to write up his thesis and finish by June. He currently use the shared computer in the lab.

 

Trusted Ebay sellers should have a T500/510 delivered way sooner than Lenovo. A bit of shipping cost wouldn't be so bad considering the circumstances.

 

I am assuming the T500 should be delivered on time by lenovo as it is an old model.

 

I got my T510 within 2 weeks. I ordered on 30th and I got it on the 11th.

 

Got mine in 15 days as well, or 11 business days. Ordered on 1/19 (6PM EST, after hours) and got it on 2/3.

 

two consecutive positive comments, plus my own experience, I think I would go ahead and order T510 for him.

Be warned though, shipping time can vary in a matter of weeks. So what we experienced last month does not necessarily translate to you right now.

 

it is very true. I just talked to my friend. He said he need it ASAP, and as cheap as possible. So I said, OK, go with SL series.......

Also, the Lenovo plant may be closed/slow for Chinese New Year this week, possibly even in to next week.

I ordered my T510 (I'm in Canada) in the evening of Feb 2nd, and I'm still waiting for it to ship. At the time it said within 11 business days, and today is the 11th business day after the order.

 

I ordered a T510 on Jan. 28 (US based/US site) and it still hasn't shipped. It originally gave me a ship date of 2/9. Then it shifted forward to 2/5. Then it shifted to 2/25.

I ordered T510, integrated graphics, i5-520M, win7-64, HD+ screen, 4GB of RAM, 500 Gb hard drive, 9 cell battery, bluetooth, Centrino Ultimate for WiFi... so I'm somewhat surprised that it will take over a month to get to me, but just wanted to provide this experience as a counterpoint to those who have gotten it faster.
