Hi, guys. I finally got my T520, everything is good. However, I noticed even when I change it to "maximize performance", the cpu-Z still shows that the maximum power is 2.0Ghz, where my CPU is 2520m which should boost to 3.2Ghz. What is wrong with this CPU? Is that a defect one?
BTW, I have my battery plug in, I clean install XP 32bit, I upgraded a PC8500 2GB memory, so that there are 4GB in total. They run on 533Mhz. Is your CPU boost to the level it should? Thank you in adavance.

Try running a program, Turbo Boost will not kick in unless needed as I understand it. Sort of like Speed Step but in the other direction.

Did you install the Turbo Boost and all other potentially relevant drivers for XP?

I would also note that HWiNFO32 has a dynamic display of CPU speed that refreshes more frequently than CPU-z.
