    Versus the ThinkPad b/g/n?

    What about the N-6300?

I'd definitely avoid the "ThinkPad b/g/n", which is a Realtek adapter. Blows chunks.

6205 or 6300 all the way. If you want 3x3 (300mbps speeds), you'll need the 6300.

    3x3 is 450 Mbps, 2x2 is 300 Mbps.

Owned both cards and there is a noticeable difference in the 6250 model over the Thinkpad standard model. Well worth the upgrade if you ask me.

Not just the speeds, but also drivers are terrible for non Intel wireless cards. Totally worth 20 bucks, AND you wouldn't have to hunt down a Lenovo FRU WLAN card as Lenovo whitelists WLAN cards.

i have the realtek 8192se in my t500 and linux drivers suck, drops the signal all the time. I really regret cheaping out on the wlan. It works fine in windows though.

if you are planning on using linux I would read up on how good the realtek compatibility is vs intel.
