This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     T520 fan rev fixed

    I'm not sure if this is applicable to other notebooks in the T-series with the fan whirr problem (changing speed every 5 seconds)

    I just upgraded the BIOS to the newest 1.33 and it seems to be totally fixed.

    I didn't notice whether or not this got posted, but I didn't notice it in the first couple pages, and it might be good to sticky because I suspect a lot of people may come here looking for that.

    I got my T520 in August. I never had the fan problem. It shipped with a nice BIOS.
